Turkey earthquake – “Thank you, Greece” – “Thank you, neighbour” – Outpouring of gratitude by Turks for Greek support

The Turks point out that other Muslim nations did not react as fast as Greece

Turkish citizens took to Twitter to express their gratitude to Greece following the immediate mobilisation of the Greek authorities to provide aid to Turkey after the two deadly earthquakes on Monday which killed over 2,000 people.

“Teşekkürler Gyaranis ” and ” Teşekürler komşu ” (“Thank you, Greece” and “Thank you, neighbour”) are the wishes and hashtags that are proliferating on Turkish Twitter.

They even point out that Greece, like Israel, was one of the first countries that rushed to help Turkey, without having the best relations with it. On the contrary, other countries of the same religion as Turkey did not mobilise. “History will write that Greece ran to our aid” is the meaning of many posts, expressing dissatisfaction with countries like Qatar.

Cernan Intsi, who claims to be a businessman, reproduces the tweet of the Minister of Civil Protection, Christos Stylianidis, with the departure of the C-130 with EMAK and humanitarian aid:

Another user asks where are the other Muslim countries to help Turkey, while thanking Greece, Azerbaijan and Israel.

Where are our beloved religious brothers and sisters? I hope they’re embarrassed. Thanks Greece, Azerbaijan and Israel https://t.co/XjzKCJ4Ll7

In the same vein, another user says that “history will write that Greece helped and not Qatar”

History will write that Greece rushed to help, not Qatar.
Humanity will win, not ummah.
Thanks neighbor!

Are politicians who spread hatred against Greece and Israel ashamed, another user wonders:
Apart from Azerbaijan, Israel and Greece were the first to extend their friendly hand to Turkey in the earthquake.
I wonder if Turkish politicians and their supporters, who constantly spread hatred against these two countries, feel ashamed!?
Thank you Greece, thank you Israel!
