Turkey violates Greek airspace 17 times

The Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted by the Hellenic Air Force

Turkey continued its provocations against Greece unabated, as the Turkish Air Force proceeded to violate Greek national airspace on 17 occasions on Monday.

The Turkish aircraft moved in the Northeast, Central, and Southeast Aegean and as it became known, the 15 violations were committed by unmanned UAV aircraft and 2 by F-16 fighter jets.

A CN 235 reconnaissance plane flew over the Aegean. The Turkish aircraft also committed 8 infringements of the air traffic rules in the Athens FIR.

According to the Hellenic National Defence General Staff (HNDGS), the Turkish aircraft were identified and intercepted in accordance with international rules, in accordance with established practice.
