Two marble heads of female statues from the Roman Period were found in an apartment in the center of Thessaloniki, which was recently bought by a 35-year-old man.
Specifically, the owner found the objects carefully hidden in the attic of the apartment as well as a number of relevant documents, which according to the opinion of an archaeologist of the Ephorate of Antiquities of Thessaloniki, fall under the protective provisions of Law 3028/2002 “On the protection and Cultural Heritage in general “.
A preliminary investigation is underway by the Department of Cultural Heritage and Antiquities of the Security Directorate of Thessaloniki.
