A 23-year-old university student suddenly died while holidaying on the island of Sifnos. The young man named Thanasis Zervas, who was from the region of Lamia, studied at the Technical University of Athens and had been on vacations with his friends on the island.
According to reports, the 23-year-old had visited the well-known beach of the island with his friends, when for an unknown reason, coming out of the sea, he suddenly felt unwell and felt the urge to vomit. His company tried to help him but failed, as Thanasis Zervas collapsed, losing consciousness on the beach. The ambulance was immediately notified to transport him to the island’s Health Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The tragic news was announced by the cardiologist Panagiotis Iakovides with a post on his Facebook page. The 23-year-old student was the son of architect-engineer Dimitris Zervas and doctor Despina Kountouri.
