Was the Russian plane really brought down by ISIS? Egypt finds no proof

224 people died in the Russian clash that is believed to have been caused by ISIS according to the group’s own claims, but Egypt finds no proof

Egypt’s preliminary report on the Russian plane crash on October 31 was released on Monday with claims that there was no evidence that the Airbus A321 was brought down by a bomb. Daesh, known as ISIS, claimed responsibility for the crash by stating that an explosive device had been smuggled on board, however the preliminary report by Egypt’s civil aviation ministry states that so far there has been no evidence of a criminal act.

“The technical investigative committee has so far not found anything indicating any illegal intervention or terrorist action,” the ministry said in a statement.
