Why MPs voted against lifting immunity

Five MPs of PASOK and two MPs of New Democracy were moved by the tears of Stathis Boukouras and decided to give them a second chance – They were not convinced about their participation in a criminal organization

Several MPs of PASOK were moved by Stathis Boukouras speech and tears and voted against lifting the immunity of two accused MPs. These were Apostolos Kaklamanis, Costas Skandalidis, Nikos Sifounakis, Michalis Kassis and Giorgos Dolios.

Two MPs of New Democracy, Tania Iakovidou and Christos Kellas, voted against immunity lifting, too.

They believe that they deserve a second chance and that they have already regretted participating in this party. As they said, they are convinced that the detainees did not know the internal affairs and the criminal activities of Golden Dawn.
