Woman in Crete admitted to hospital after taking AstraZeneca jab

Experts consider the symptoms to be inked to the vaccine

Newsroom May 18 12:11

A mother of three is being treated at the Venizelio hospital in Heraklion Crete after she was vaccinated with the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The woman received the jab 15 days ago and according to information from Creta24, showed symptoms of thrombocytopenia.

It is an autoimmune complication and concerns the disorder of blood coagulation.

According to Creta24, the experts who are examining the incident, consider that there is a “high suspicion” that these are symptoms directly related to the vaccine.

They also report that the patient’s medical record does not show any link to her health other than the vaccine.

It is the second incident linked to the same vaccine after a 35-year-old man in Crete was forced to undergo surgery twice after suffering blood clots.

Mitsotakis: “Farmers will receive every euro they are entitled to — Solutions come through dialogue, not roadblocks”

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis assured farmers that all payments owed to them will be delivered in full, emphasizing that while agricultural workers have every right to demand more support, “extreme forms of protest, such as roadblocks, may exert pressure but ultimately disrupt daily life and do not help us move forward faster”
