World media trolls Varoufakis suggestion to use tourists as tax inspectors

The international media had fun with the proposal that it found to be ludicrous

Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis idea of recruiting tourists to act as volunteer monitors to ensure that tax inspectors has caused an unprecedent trolling by the international press with a wave of articles on the scheme.

Financial Times opened a can of worms with an article titled “Greece proposes tourists as tax inspectors” followed by the Wall Street Journal that refered to Greece’s “hilarious” plan followed by tweeting and photos of scantily clad women at a beach bar where social media users had to guess which one was the secret tax inspector.
