A series of public transport stoppages in the Athens-Piraeus Metro and the Tram services will start from Monday, June 6 in protest to the privatisation of the transport network. The workers in the public transport issued a statement claiming private transport has been tried in the past and resulted in higher fares and unsafe transport for the public. The detailed schedule of industrial action will be as follows:

Monday, June 6: Stoppage from start till 10 am

Wednesday, June 8: Stoppage from 12pm to 4pm

Friday, June 10: Stoppage from 10pm to end of shift

Monday, June 13: Stoppage from start to 10am

Wednesday, June 15: Stoppage from 9pm to end of shift

Friday, June 17: Stoppage from 12pm to 5pm
