A 11-year-old Greek will star next to Russell Crowe in his new movie “The Water Diviner”, a production that was filmed in Turkey.

Dylan Georgiadis, student at elementary school who lives in Melbourne plays the character of a Turkish child and he even had to learn a few Turkish words.

For about one and a half month he dropped his classes in elementary school McKinnon, and went to Sydney where the film was shot and then to Istanbul for another two weeks.

As for Russell Crowe, little Dylan said that he was very good with him.

“He helped me very much and he was trying to entertain me. He did everything with humor,” Dylan said, although he says that he is happy now that he returned to school and his classmates.

The film was written by the Greek expatriate Andrew Anastasios and Andrew Knight and directed by Russell Crowe.

“The Water Diviner” is a drama about an Australian dad (Crowe) who travels to Turkey in 1919 to find the remains of his three sons lost in World World War I’s Battle of Gallipoli.

The film, among other things, includes scenes from the landing of the Greeks in Asia Minor in 1919 and an attack on a train carrying Turkish soldiers, that was allegedly performed by Greeks.
