Eurogroup head says Farage is delusional

Terms worse for UK in new deals with EU, he warned

Eurogroup head and Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem said UKIP leader and staunch supporter for the Brexit campaign, Nigel Farage was living in his own world, speaking to Dutch TV channel RTL. ‘He thinks Britain is a global empire and can dictate everything, but that’s not going to happen’, he said about the Farage. The Eurogroup head warned that the UK could not dictate the terms of the new trade and commercial deals with the EU. Farage had claimed that it was in the interest of the EU to enter into trade deals with the UK during his speech at the European Parliament. Dijsselbloem made it clear that the new terms would be worse than the ones Britain had in the EU. The Dutch politician said that it was too early to estimate the long term economic repercussions of the Brexit for the Netherlands.
