Amid protests and minor scuffles between police and members of solidarity groups, the evacuation of the refugee camp at Idomeni continued, Monday. 31 buses transported a total of 1,158 refugees and illegal migrants to the refugee center at Vasilika. The operation was carried out smoothly, except the protests between police and solidarity group members, 30 of which were detained.
The part of the highway at the Agios Athanasios juncture until the curb at Polycastro, which had been cordoned off for the operation since 6 am, was freed for drivers.
