Notis Marias, Independent Greeks MEP and vice-chairman of the European Conservatives and Reformists Group, submitted a question to the European Parliament regarding the economic impact from Russian embargo and asked that the EU compensate Greeks producers for their losses.

Mr. Marias pointed out that Russia’s embargo on imports from EU was the result of EU sanctions against the country.

He also stressed the impact of the ban on Greek economy and asked the European Commission to take measures so that the Greek producers and businesses affected by the embargo can be compensated for their losses.
