ND to govt: Take no actions as mandate process in force

Reports claim management reshuffles at state-run ports were being considered as countryis entered a pre-election phase

Conservative New Democracy party on Friday warned what’s left of the leftist SYRIZA government not to take actions or initiatives outside the current exploratory mandate process.
Greek PM Alexis Tsipras resigned on Thursday evening and said he will seek snap elections, without specifying a date. However, as per the constitution, the president of the republic offered a mandate to the next party in parliament strength, ND, to form a government — a remote prospect at best.
The statement stems from reports that the privatization agency was considering management replacement at 10 regional ports.
