Decades of unfilled promises to allow Greek citizens, who happen to be permanent overseas residents, the right to cast a ballot in their homeland’s elections again irked many an expatriate on Sunday, as they could only watch and listen to the process – but not vote!

The hashtag #icannotvote on Twitter expressed overseas’ Greeks anger over again being left out.
