German FinMin Wolfgang Schauble again took aim at the new Greek government on Monday, accusing SYRIZA of ruining the trust built so far between the two sides.

According to Reuters, during a speech by the minister at an event in Berlin, Schauble stressed that he doesn’t expect Athens to implement its pre-electoral pledge to impose higher taxes on shipowners.

“Even a radical leftist government would not have kept that promise,” he stressed.

In conclusion, he repeated his personal view, that the current Greek debt and recession issue is due to past overspending.
