Europe is on high alert after the deadly attacks at Brussels airport and metro station killing at least 31 people and injuring more than 270, while the terrorists responsible for the attacks are still on the run.

Belgian authorities have launched a manhunt looking for the bomb attackers, while federal prosecutor said in a written statement that six people involved in Brussels deadly attacks were arrested.

French police “prevented imminent terrorist attack in France” French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said on Thursday after a suspect who was French national was arrested.

The man is suspected of being part of a huge “militant network” planning attacks throughout France and the rest of Europe, said the French Minister.

Following the arrest, French counter-terrorism unit (DGSI)  conducted raids in Argenteuil, about eight miles outside of the city centre sealing off the streets.

Mr. Cazeneuve said: “At this stage, there is no tangible evidence that links this plot to the attacks in Paris and Brussels,” adding that the raid helped “foil a plot in France that was at an advanced stage”.
