Turkey has the right to defend its borders, Davutoglu says

He said Turkey will not hesitate to take all steps to protect the country's security

Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu defended Turkey’s decision to shoot down a Russian fighter jet at the border with Syria by saying Turkey has the right to take all kinds of measures to defend its border according to international laws.

Mr. Davutoglu said Turkey will not hesitate to take all steps to protect the country’s security stressing that this is Turkey’s national duty.

Davutoglu called on the international community to cooperate in order to extinguish the fire that is burning in Syria.
