Turkish Foreign Minister says Greece is harbouring criminals from Turkey

He warned Cyprus over the oil exploration

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu has accused Greece of becoming a safe harbour for criminals fleeing Turkey.
In an interview to Greek daily “Ta Nea”, the top Turkish diplomat used harsh language against Greece referring to the eight Turkish military officials who were granted political asylum by Greek authorities after the failed coup attempt in Turkey in 2016.
He expressed his disappointment in the Greek justice system regarding the verdict on the “eight” adding that “we [Turkey] are determined in our efforts to ensure that the fugitive putschists will be extradited and tried in Turkey”.
Mr Cavusoglu said bilateral relations between Greece and Turkey were not at their best level. On the issue of oil exploration off the shores of Cyprus, he levels a clear warning against the Greek-Cypriot side saying “if they believe that they still have nothing to lose, then they are wrong”.
