Two urgent memos in view of regional-local elections (May 18th) and EU Elections (May 25th) were sent by Prosecutor General E. Koutzamani to the Appeals Prosecutor.

The officer draws the attention of her colleagues for the timely performance of assignment documents to court representatives and members of electional commissions.

She also asks for the necessary groundwork with local police departments so that on election day there will be police cars to make the responsible officials’ move to election centers possible and to establish whether the move has been done and whether the electoral process has begun.

If problems are detected at polling stations the registrar of judicial representatives should immediately be informed and the competent prosecutors should then inform the Office of the Supreme Court, she highlighted.
