The necessary investigations and the final report on the acts and omissions of the mayor of Ellinikos were carried out by two auditors.

Katerina Lioula and Yannis Selimis are not new in the Audit Board of Public Administration. They had also undertaken the investigation of the illegal adoption of a little girl from Bulgaria revealing massive illegal adoptions.

The two auditors visited three times the place in order to investigate the conditions under which the 13-year-old boy died and his little sister was badly injured before drawing up the report.

According to the report, the leasing of the site was not legitimate since the municipality did not issue the relevant license. Also, the HAPPY FUN LTD company was using an area of 2,450 sq.m instead of 700 sq.m. that were leased.

Moreover, the municipal departments and services never asked the company to provide the necessary documentation, even though the municipality regularly received leasing fees nor did they take any action to end its unlawful operation.
