Witnesses said that some victims were burned alive and they characterized the attack as a “very well organized”. The insurgents were wearing military clothes and were very well armed shouting “Allahu Akbar” and spraying gunfire into the crowds of people. The attack lasted 12 hours and Boko Haram blowed up many buildings, including the police station.

United States, Great Britain and China announced that they will assist Nigerian authorities providing either specialist teams or technological equipment so as to manage to release the 300 girls who are still held by the insurgents.

The insurgents are shown in a video threatening that they will sell the girls as slaves! At the same time, Nigerian authorities announced that they will give a $ 300,000 reward to anyone who has information to track and release the girls.
