The United Nations are in turmoil over a video which was published, showing a helicopter with the white color and motto of the organization participating in an Ukrainian army against separatists in Donetsk.
When asked on the UN’s position on the use of military material with the UN emblem, on a non-peacekeeping mission, the Secretary of the UN replied that any such use is in violation of the rules of the United Nations.
“It is the responsibility of the Troop Contributing Countries and the countries that provide equipment in peacekeeping missions to remove all UN emblems when this equipment is repatriated or no longer used for official business of the Agency”, was the answer given by representative Ban Ki Moon on Russia Today.
Already, the UN is in contact with Ukrainian authorities to provide necessary explanations, according the Secretary’s representative.
The video aired by LifeNews, arguing that shots were taken near Kramatorsk.
