The 73th Anniversary of the Historic Battle of Crete was celebrated this year in Maleme in Chania, in the presence of Prime Minister, Antonis Samaras.
The Prime Minister awarded honorary commendations to veterans of the battle and talked with them while watching the impressive demonstration of the paratroopers of Greek army.
The Prime Minister was accompanied by the chairman of the Parliament, Evangelos Meimarakis and the Minister of National Defence, Dimitris Avramopoulos.
