Prime Minister Antonis Samaras on Friday paid a surprise visit to the Greek national football team players at Aghios Kosmas sports facilities ahead of the team’s departure in early June for the World Cup 2014 in Brazil.
The premier was accompanied by former captain of the Greek national team Theodoris Zagorakis (also candidate for the European Parliament with New Democracy) congratulated the players for their qualification in World Cup’s finals and wished them good luck in Brazil.
On his part, the captain of the Greek team Giorgos Karagounis thanked the premier and Zagorakis for their visit and offered him a T-shirt and a World Cup ball with the signatures of all the players as well as of the national team’s coach Fernando Santos.
