The President of Piraeus Port Authority S.A. , Mr.George Anomeritis , and the newly elected Mayor of Piraeus Mr.Giannis Moralis, carried a meeting regarding the development cooperation programs of Piraeus Port as well as Cruise development policies.
At a technical level they discussed:
a. The institutional aspects of the operation of the Piraeus Port Authority S.A.
b.. Relations city – Port Authority

c. Coupling and accelerating development (municipality. – Piraeus Port Authority ) programs

d. The development of Tourism and Culture in relation to infrastructure and cruise policies
Further Mr. Anomeritis informed Mr.Morali the following:
1. The necessary steps for the celebration of 2500 years of Salaminas Battle in 2021 (legislative, organizational, operational). The nomination of Piraeus, Salaminas and region Municipalities, as a Cultural Capital of Europe 2021.
2. The Immediate start of the detailed design of the European Maritime Day, which will be celebrated in May 2015 in Piraeus.

3. The Immediate consultation on the organization of the General Assembly and Congress of the European Sea Ports Organization , which for the first time will be held in May 2015 in Piraeus.
4.The steps for the development and operation of the Cultural Coast of Piraeus, as it is one of the most important redevelopment of Piraeus.

Finally, both sides agreed to cooperate with teams, in order to finalize the proposals of the new Municipal authority until September 1, when it will come to effect, along with the institutional processes and procedures of the municipality.
