We all know that elephants are intelligent animals, but seven Asian elephants raised the bar very high for the other mammals, as they tend to become professional painters!
The way they handle the brush is more than impressive, and they paint equally well with both their trunk and their huge paws! Their amazing works were sold for up to 1,600 euros and the money will be used to support the Maesa Elephant Camp, where the seven elephants live.
The seven amazing elephant artists were trained by a Chinese painter nine years ago and now are skilled enough to paint realistic-looking bunches of flowers.
When they paint, the elephants are guided by a trainer who gives them instructions rubbing their ears in a certain way.
It should be also note that the elephants use a special non-toxic paint and the paint brushes are specially adapted so as the elephants can easily and comfortably hold them with their trunks.
