“Pride and honor,”stated that feels the former Prime Minister of Luxembourg and Former Head of the Eurogroup, Mr Jean-Claude Juncker in a statement after his election by the leaders of the EU, for the position of the next President of the European Commission.

“I feel proud and honored that I received today the support of the European Council,” he wrote on his Twitter account Mr. Juncker in a first reaction after the verdict.

Mr. Juncker was a candidate of the European People’s Party (EPP), to succeed Mr. Jose Manuel Barroso.
