After the rejection of the ceasfire by Hamas, Israel began pounding the Gaza Strip. After six hours during which they implemented a unilateral cessation, Israel continued with several air strikes.

Israel, however, said “yes” to the Egyptian proposal for a ceasefire with Palestinians, which the Islamist Palestinian Hamas, rejected.

At the same time, Hamas continued firing rockets into Israeli territory between 09.00 and 15.00, while at the same time it was stressing that it needed time to rule on the Egyptian proposal.
