The cruise ship, MV Aegean Odyssey, docked at the port of Thessaloniki after its arrival from Istanbul at the early hours of Friday morning. The 280 passengers on board are mainly British, American, Australian and Canadian travelers who are interested in understanding the history, culture and natural wonders of the ancient world.
The cruise ship is known for its destination-rich itineraries that focus on culture and archaeology. These include shore excursions that highlight the art, architecture, history and culture of the Greek islands. The sightseeing itinerary for its passengers in Thessaloniki include visits to the archaeological site of Vergina and tours of the city center and the local market.
The cruise ship sets sail for the port of Volos on Friday afternoon.
