The Chancellor as well as Minister of Economy and Energy of Germany S. Gabriel will be visiting Athens in March. According to the Minister of Development and Competitiveness Nick Dendias after his meeting with S. Gabriel, during his visit as head of the German business delegation he will examine the investment opportunities that exist for German businessmen in the Greek economy.

Mr. Dendias stated that: “After visiting the Association of German Industries (BDI) and after a consultation with the Chairman, I had the pleasure of meeting the Minister of Development of the Federal Republic of Germany and to discuss all matters relating to the economy of Greece “.

“During our discussion with Mr. Gabriel we both agreed that in order to be able to overcome the symptoms of the crisis, the Greek economy should be helped to enter the virtuous cycle of growth and Mr. Gabriel was kind enough to endorse what the Greek government believes. I expressed to Mr. Gabriel that we are pleased with that and also had the pleasure to invite him to Athens. Mr. Gabriel agreed to come to Athens in March, as head of delegation of German businessmen, to see what investment opportunities exist for German businessmen in the Greek economy”.

Finally, the Minister of Development concluded that : “I think what is important is that Germany endorses the development prospects of the Greek economy and this is something extremely useful and very necessary, “said the Minister of Development”.
