Strong police forces with helicopters and armored vehicles were involved in a major operation to destroy cannabis plantations in the area of Skondras of Albania.

According to the police on the first day of the operation they destroyed 34 000 cannabis plans in a 150 plantations which were previously discovered by the police.

During the coordinated police operation there was a shootout between the police and drug traffickers.
