Three people were killed and nine others injured when a fighter plane crashed, of yet unknown cause, in a residential area in Tobruk, as reported by residents and hospital sources.

The aircraft crashed approximately one kilometer from the headquarters of the elected parliament of Libya.

The accident occurred during a military event to honor the pilot of another aircraft that crashed last week, according to residents of Tobruk.
