Turkish Prime Minister, Tayyip Erdogan sent a warning concerning the Kurdish city of Kobane, to the international community.
As the Turkish PM stated, during his visit to a nearby refugee camp within the Turkish borders, he learned that the city is about to fall into the hands of jihadists.
He added that the only way to defeat the Islamic state is an operation involving ground troops.
“Air strikes will not stop the terrorists of the Islamic State. We need a no-fly zone to ensure safety in the skies, while we also need to train and equip the moderate opposition in Syria”, he added.
The jihadists began their march towards Kobane three weeks ago, conquering a series of towns around it and forcing about 186,000 Kurds out of their homes.
