Madonna defends her son’s Instagram post of ISIS executing children

Should Rocco have posted violent images of ISIS executing children on Instagram?

Newsroom October 11 07:58

Rocco Ritchie, Madonna’s 14-year-old son, showed that he has his mother’s ability to stir controversy by posting videos of ISIS terrorists executing children on Instagram. He uploaded the graphic footage with the caption: “I think if your still being a d**k to people, I would stop.”

His Instagram followers immediately started debating on whether he was right to post the graphic images. On one hand he was applauded for raising awareness by some users but others were disgusted by the appalling images and the fact that a boy of his age was witnessing them.

Madonna took to Facebook to support her son. “I applaud my son’s desire to express his outrage by posting footage of ISIS on instagram,” she wrote. “Humans are becoming numb to this violent imagery. He is saying our problems are nothing compared to whats going on around the world. Freedom Fighting is in his blood. Lets pray for PEACE! #rebelheart #livingforlove [sic]”
