Thessaloniki: Tourist bus fell off a cliff – The driver lost his life

A mysterious explosion while the bus was parked - The unfortunate man was found charred by the Fire Department - Ongoing investigation for any possible trapped

An ongoing investigation with the use of special headlamps by the police  in the 10 meter depth cliff , where the white color bus was wrapped in flames. The driver was the only one in the bus and was found charred by the Fire Department.

The fire department received a call for the accident and the fire around 17:45 in the afternoon. 5 vehicles of the fire department Immediately arrived to the spot and began to extinguish the fire, while police officers excluded the area. Ambulances also arrived shortly after.

The bus was burned completely and the fire department officers checked for any posible trapped people, but concluded that the driver was the only one.

According to preliminary testimonies available to the authorities, the bus was parked at the time of the explosion and subsequently was found in the cliff.

Moreover, fire officers investigate the fact that the carbonized body of the driver was found in the middle of the bus, while the explosion occurred in the rear.

According to information the unfortunate driver was a 45 year old man father of a 19 year old girl.
