Philae’s battery which landed on the Tchouri comet on Wednesday seems to have gone out, according to the European Space Agency.
The signal has been lost and there is no longer any communication with the lander, said ESA on a Twitter message.
The idle state of the robot will be for an “undetermined period”, according to scientists.
We wish to remind readers that Philae landed vertically against a cliff, which means that its solar panels saw very little to no light as it was overshadowed by the cliffside.
