The stubborn killer goats of Greece (photo + video)

They want to get their own way and will give a buck if they need to

Newsroom December 6 09:59

Greek goats are known for their stubbornness. Recently, goat attacks have been on the increase.

Two goat incidents:

An 81-year-old Greek woman was the target of an angry billy goat that slammed into her neck in full force. The swelling cut off her air supply and blocked her ability to breathe. She had to be intubated indotracheally. The surgeons, one vascular and one general, had to make incisions to drain the hematoma that had been created.

The case was so unusual that Dr. Michalis Peroulis and his colleagues at the University Hospital of Ioannina in Greece reported the incident in Case Reports in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Peroulis’ wrote that “this is the first successfully treated case of carotid artery injury due to animal thrust with life threatening neck hematoma.”
