The House Ethics Committee has decided to give copies of the DVD containing audiovisual material which includes the alleged bribery attempt of Mr. Chaikalis, to party leaders.
Upon completion of the meeting of the Ethics Committee, reporters asked ANEL representative Maria Kollia-Tsarouha who the other ANEL MP that the businessman-“middleman” approached. “Is it a man or a woman”, journalists asked Mrs. Kollia-Tsarouha. The ANEL MP replied “a woman”. In a late question if it is MP Stavroula Xoulidou, Kollia-Tsarouha replied that it was Mrs. Kountoura.
“The middleman insinuated that someone received a bribe”, was Mr. Chaikalis’ earlier statement during the press conference he held with ANEL party leader Panos Kammenos.
Protothema.gr contacted ANEL MP Elena Kountoura who denied that there was an attempt to bribe her. “I spoke with Mrs. Kollia-Tsarouha. Mrs. Kollia-Tsarouha refuses that she said anything like that and is furious. Call her”, said Mrs. Kountoura.
“I have nothing else to say to you. Nothing is applicable”, she added.
ANEL MP Maria Kollia Tsarouha’s statements that the DVD that Mr. Kammenos sent parliament has undergone a montage, has created a stir. According to Mrs. Tsarouha, the DVD contains scenes from the first meeting of Pavlos Chaikalis with alleged middleman George Apostolopoulos, while the sound is from the second meeting between Chaikalis-Apostolopoulos!
