Athenians celebrated the New Year’s in harsh cold. Hundreds of citizens braved the weather and headed to the Municipality of Athens with the melodies of the municipality’s music groups and popular Greek singer Kostis Maraveyas.

A huge firework display lit up the sky of the Greek capital as soon as the clock struck midnight.
