Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis has put his luxury holiday home in the island of Aegina for 5,000 euros a week, according to an article published on the online edition of Daily Mail newspaper.
Criticizing Varoufakis’privileged lifestyle and his recent celebrity style photo shoot with his wife in their Athens home, the article attributes the Greek FinMin’s decision to put his luxury villa on the market to the criticism he has received due to his anti-austerity look.
“With his heiress wife and luxurious second home, Yanis Varoufakis has been mocked as a champagne socialist,” says the Daily Mail journalist.
According to the official listing on Boutique Athens, an agency that sells and rents luxury apartments, Varoufakis’ villa has a home cinema system, glass walls, a modern, stylish kitchen and five spacious bedrooms.
