A year after the formal announcement of the spread of Ebola by the WHO, at least 24,000 people were infected and more than 10,000 lost their lives.

In a report issued by Doctors Without Borders, the NGO blames the WHO for ignoring their early calls for aid and a worldwide alert. When the WHO reacted by voting in the” global public health emergency” , more than a thousand people were already dead.

The DWB NGO carried out a huge effort to aid countries most hurt by Ebola, especially Liberia, Guinea and Sierra Leone, with more than 1,300 volunteers and 4,000 local employees who constructed clinics with a total of 250 beds.

According to the NGO, despite their efforts, 2547 people lost their lives.
