Equity prices dropped on the Athens Stock Exchange on Wednesday with the basic share price index down 0.8% at 771.24 points at 11.15 a.m. and a turnover at 9.46 million euros.

The FTSE/ASE Large Cap index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 1.16 percent and the FTSE/ASE Mid Cap index was down 0.66 percent.

Individual sector indices saw the biggest gains in Construction (+1.62%) and Utilities (+0.59%) with the biggest losses being in Raw Materials (-1.37%), Food (-1.13%) and Travel & Leisure (-1.08%).

Of the stocks traded, 14 were up, 27 were down and 10 were unchanged.
