“Ottoman Athens, 1453-1833” runs through to June 30, 2015, at the Gennadius Library of the American School of Classical Studies in Athens. The exhibition tells the story of the Ottoman occupation of Greece through topography, archeology, travelers books, works of art and other artifacts.
The exhibition explores several themes about the everyday lives of Athenians during the Ottoman era.
