At least 28 innocent people were killed yesterday from powerful explosions following air raids by Arab coalition jets in a Sana’a ammo dump.
Over 300 people were injured from the explosions which rocked the Yemeni capital.
A medical source noted that the number of dead may easily rise, since many of the wounded were in critical condition. According to an AFP reporter it was impossible to approach the bombing site due to the extreme heat emanating from the flames. More than ten homes caught on fire from the ensuing fire, as well as a gas depot.
The Indonesian consulate also suffered damages, whereas houses as far as five kilometers out had shattered windows following the shockwave.
The UN counts as many as a thousand dead, most of them innocent civilians.
