“We are the world, we are the children…” sang the Greek foreign minister with his counterparts from (some) NATO countries during an after-summit soiree in Antalya.
In fact, Greek FM Nikos Kotzias was the first to accept an invitation by his Turkish colleague Mevlut Cavusoglu to join him on stage.
The karaoke-style rendition came at the end of a two-day NATO conference in the southern Turkish city, which is famous as a tourist destination.
Cavusoglu took to the stage to thank the orchestra before issuing his invitation, which was also accepted by NATO General Secretary Jens Stoltenberg and High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogherini.
