“Curbed” – invites architects to reimagine an existing structure in their city. In August, it visited debt-ridden Athens that many would argue is worse for wear as a result of the country’s economic woes and migrant problems that have seen the city inundated by a number of refugees.

Architect Marianna Rentzou coins it correctly when she says that there is a distinct difference of public spaces “before” and “after” the crisis.

The two partners of Athens-based architects of Point Supreme returned to Greece in 2008 after years in Rotterdam, London, Amsterdam and Tokyo. Theyw ere struck by the need for the beautification of Greek central squares and were concerned by downtown square becoming de facto parking lots.
