Former public order minister Yannis Panousis referred to SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras on Thursday, saying that he is a man of the people who was fascinated by Yanis Varoufakis, former finance minister.

“He was talking about Galbraith (the renowned economist) and economic theories and Tsipras was fascinated; he lost control, although he was warned that he (Varoufakis) was a wrong choice,” Panousis said.

Talking about the attitude and personality of the former FinMin, he noted that “people who are so narcissistic and arrogant end up becoming the center of themselves”, while he added: “since you are the center you will play games with other centers.”

Panousis criticizing the choice of Tsipras regarding Zoe Konstantopoulou, he said that it was a wrong choice and her behavior was not taken into account before the final choice.

As for the mistakes the government has made during the past seven months, he commented that Tsipras “mixed up governance and ideology” while he stated that he is in favor of forming a coalition government.
