Greece’s general secretary of Public Revenues Katerina Savvaidou refused to resign despite breach of duty allegations in two cases. She announced that the media reports against her are unfounded, hence she informed Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras that she will not resign. She presented a timetable explaining the elements of the two cases in question and the reasons which she believes justify her decision.
“The accusations attributed to me are completely groundless and therefore there is no issue of legality or ‘principle’ that would justify the Prime Minister’s demand for my resignation,” she said.
