After the shock of the multiple attacks around Parisian venues at dawn on Saturday, Paris woke up to the blood and terror in a day of mourning. Video footage of stampedes, people covered in blood, a woman desperately clinging to a ledge in efforts to hide from terrorists and death in the streets and alleys as bodies lie strewn.

Mourners came to pay their respects at the Bataclan concert venue, the Stade de France, Le Belle Equipe, the Le Carillon cafe bar and nearby Petit Cambodge where the attacks took place.
